Selection starts with occupancy, hazards, ceiling conditions, environmental factors, applicable codes and approvals, followed by zoning, loop capacity and evacuation requirements.
Can the fire alarm interface with lifts, HVAC and doors?
Yes. An approved cause-and-effect matrix defines every response, including plant shutdown, door release, lift recall, voice messages and signals to other systems.
What is tested before handover?
Point, circuit, audible and visual device, battery, interface and cause-and-effect tests are recorded, with observations closed before acceptance.
